Jaundice from Gallstones

Hi everyone! New on here. I’m 21 years old and been diagnosed with gallstones - I was having regular mild attacks (weekly) and then I have had two admissions to hospital with severe attacks where the only thing that helped was a concoction of Oramorph, tramadol and voltarol. The last attack that I was admitted for was last Thursday and it was so bad, I was out of it for 5 days with sickness pain and couldn’t eat or even keep water down, I still now have a tender stomach and no appetite. I noticed my urine started to go a bit darker probably on Tuesday evening... it was bright orange!! And then yesterday the itching started and it wouldn’t stop (it still hasn’t stopped) I noticed this morning my eyes looked a bit of an off colour went to the GP and she said yep you’ve got jaundice! Has anyone else ended up with jaundice from gallstones?!?! It’s the most irritating thing I can’t stop scratching it’s driving me insane, any advice on how to stop the itching? I have taken antihistamine but to no avail. Luckily I’m now a urgent case and am having my consultation for surgery to have gallbladder removed next week. Fingers crossed it won’t be long and then the itching will be gone!
