I was diagnised with Cirrhosis 4yrs ago, after a heavy bleed (burst varices),from mouth and bottom, ascites, jaundice etc..
I am now on medication,my LFT's,inr, cholesteral are now all in normal range. Ultrasounds show 2 liver cysts,1 gallstone and mild stiffness of the liver.
Last week,i had a fibroscan & the result showed 20kpa. I am a little confused because on the fibro chart that doesn t indicate cirrhosis. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. x

What was identified as the cause of your liver damage? If it was alcohol a fibroscan score of 20 would relate to F3-F4 (fibrosis/cirrhosis) whereas in NAFLD it would relate to cirrhosis. Your kPa score and what it reflects vary from condition to condition - in most 20 does indicate cirrhosis.
Hope that helps a bit. You certainly had late stage cirrhosis symptoms previously and at that time your liver was obviously decompensated and struggling. Four years down the line and I suspect you've been looking after yourself better then it has become compensated though it still would appear to be fibrotic/cirrhotic.
Keep doing what you are doing and your liver will continue to thank you for it.
