I have had 7 embolisations and as long as he feels well enough he should be ok. Speak to your hepatologist and he should say the same thing. I also had a transplant aborted due to a major heammorage last November and have just returned from a cruise to the Baltic States at the beginning of July. Insurance cost me about £650. So he can get insured. I am no longer a transplant candidate so now working my way through my bucket list while I still can.

I can't have another TP because the haemorrhage occurred when they made the incision along a scar after a resection 3 years ago. They won't consider another one unless they can guarantee a different result. I ended up in a coma for 12 days and my wife and grown up kids were told I had 12 hours.to live. I have made the decision that they cannot suffer anymore so will not have any procedure that involves a general anaesthetic. The pain they went through is indescribable and unfair. As a result my bloods have never been better, I have never looked as well. When I go back to see my Professor he just smiles, shakes his head and says what do we really know. I have written a blog about My journey from start to date it can be helpful not Just to the patient but to the partners and siblings. It gives my take on the journey and clearly outlines what we go through mentally. It can be found at 1liver1life.com

Tiredness and exhaustion and Liver disease go hand in hand. I used to survive on 4/5 hours a night now a minimum of 11 hours is needed. It's not unusual for me to feel completely exhausted after a reasonably full day. He and you just have to adjust and he will find it easier than you do. You will have to accept that life is unlikely ever to be "normal" again and make the best of each day as things happen. My blog should be at 1liver1life.com

You may have to search google for it as this app put a hyperlink earlier and I noticed it had the wrong beginning. If you have any other issues finding it or any other questions please let me know.
