Hi guys and gals

I been for my pip appeal today, I was 2 minutes in a court room and I didn't have to utter a word after fighting the dwp for 2 years and struggling to survive I walked out a very happy woman with 27 points and both on enhanced rate. So anyone doing the same DO NOT GIVE up......

Brilliant news, crazy that properly ill people like yourself, my hubby and others have to fight all the way to appeal for this money which you need - especially when you consider what you have been living with and going through for the past while.

Always appeal folks, don't let it lie and don't let them fob you off with zero points or stupidly low points.

Good on you Jo-Jo, I know the back payment is probably all accounted for already but enjoy any spare.

Excellent news. Just a pity it had to wait so long or even come to this in the first instance.

Thank you everyone and glad I can give hope to ones still fighting or just claiming. It's a joke how we get treated when we are fighting for our lives, sanity and to stay afloat with bills and suchlike but common sense does prevail xxx

Make sure you all vote Labour in the up and coming general elections. The Tories promised to protect the most vulnerable, what a joke that turned out to be. Anyone who's faced unemployment because of their health knows exactly what I'm talking about. Difficult, unhelpful procedures and advice get you nowhere. Well done Jojo not many of us have the strength and determination to get where you got yesterday!

Financially I lost everything in the couple of years I couldn't work.

I should also point out that before I'd become ill I'd never claimed any kind of benefit, never been unemployed and always paid my taxes.

Congratulations it is awful that someone who is ill has to go to court to get the money they are entitled to I guess the government think they will save money by kicking people off benefits because most of them wont appeal.

Disability is not always visible!!! Many years ago my sister who has polio had to strip to the waist so they could measure her scars in front of 3 males and walk unaided along a white line, which she couldn't very well. She cried that day, now many years later she is fighting to keep her wheelchair and disability payments .. disgusting

Thank you and it's just I remember and always will know how hard it is to even get through a day, but more so a night with this awful disease and it was a God send when I found this site and the people who helped me through it I will never forget or would ever be able to thank them enough x
