HI. Just keeping you updated as promised. The surgeon is very pleased with the progress Terry is making. He left ICU this morning but was ready on Wednesday. Unfortunately, couldn't get a bed on liver unit til today.
Now the hard work begins. Having physio etc . So far so good.

I am more than likely to be up at Kings in the few weeks, if he is still in I'll come and say hello, I'll be easy to spot I'm the tallest minion you'll of ever seen!

It's always nice to hear good news. I wish you both all the best, and wish Terry a speedy, pain free as possible and uncomplicated recovery. I'm happy for both of you, there must be a sense of relief.

Thank you soo much. Yes a great sense of relief even though we know it's still early days. Unfortunately his mum passed away early morn on Weds & even though we knew she was ill I think it's having a slight affect on his recovery.
He really is trying to keep positive so all I can do is be there & support him.xx
Great news! You must be relieved..please make sure you rest and take care of you. It's a huge surgery and it may take him a bit to get back to normal.
But I'm so glad to hear it's gone well thus far!

Fantastic news, I had my transplant at St James and everyone there is great. It will take some time for him to get better and there will be a lot of ups and owns but stay positive. I never thought I would be able to walk as I was so weak but it amazing how your body reacts so quickly and recovers. Before long a was walking round the ward with a walking aid and I was so proud of myself saying hello to everybody. Keep encouraging him and you will astonished how well he will be. good luck in the future, stay strong and keep positive. big hugs xx

i honestly thought i would never be able to anything again. I was sore full of fluid still and pretty miserable and frustrated but they were brilliant on the ward and gave so much encouragement before i knew it i was doing everything myself including my meds. Glad to see he's getting better 😀
I'm so pleased Terry is making good progress after his operation. Sending healing hugs and so sorry for the loss of Terry's mum. All stay strong x
