Well its like this,14 years ago,I met a gerbil(Jane),I fancied her, offered her some nuts, but, she was more of a maize gel-ifyou know what I mean, also she pointed out gently she was more into Rodney the rabbit up the road, and he'd promised her stuff....Frankly,I was gutted, having said that,I'd passed the time of day with dorothy-the dormouse-and yes, there was something about those doleful eyes that stirred something within me-deeply.And OK the proferred walnut swayed me,but hey,I'm just not that sort of of shallow guy, also,I wasn't over Jane yet.And just to muddy the waters veronica the vole(up the lane) had offered me a threesome with her good friend jill-no strings attached, I mean, what's a red-blooded stoat to do?

Dear Cityman,

You seem to have some very deep-rooted issues and this forum may not have the answers you are looking for...

I wish you all the best and hope that you can work out the difficult dilemmas you are and have had to face.

A little advice: could you read your posts a little carefully and judge the appropriateness of them before posting?

Wishing you all the best,

Pear

Apologies,I forgot (momentarily), that people with liver issues, should walk around in sackcloth and ashes, preferably ringing a bell as they go,crying 'woe is me' etc-good luck with the sense of humour by-pass.....

Dear Cityman,

No disease gives you, as a sufferer or carer, the right to belittle anyone - lover, friend or family... Or the nation in general.

Many of us on here have been ringing bells: and we are proud of it - your bell will only reach a few ears - but when all are together - the sounds from this site have rang far and wide - sometimes giving hope, other times just being there...

You my friend, need to take a good look at the sounds you are making - and if you can listen to them carefully... The answers maybe closer than you think.

Being a poet, I'm sure you will understand.

Hi mellow1's husband here under my own name as requested, if this is an attempt to take the piss out me and my wife's story then shame on you, I would hope that you would want to add a little smile to some people but obviously not, this forum has been a great help to me and more importantly my wife, many people asked my to put our story on, you could have scrolled past rather than taking the piss, how dare you.

Come on mate. You can't complain, and then post this.

Dear cityman62

Please may I remind you this is an online support group for people at risk of, living with or affected by liver disease.

Your latest post is not appropriate and as has been highlighted by others some of your previous comments about others have been nasty and unsupportive - anything similar must not happen again or you will be blocked from using the site

Please continue to use the site appropriately or unfortunately you will not be welcome

Poor Cityman62 I think it's just his way of dealing with the harshness of suffering from liver disease - he lost his adored elder brother to liver failure too! so he has wounds and scars so possibly is less tolerant to those who he considers taking this forum too lightly.....

His post wasn't abusive only mildly cynical but that's just his ( jaundiced) sense of humour - his way of coping - ( his poetry is very good!) please don't make him feel unwelcome........ surely every one has a right to 'vent' their feelings. He didn't use any inappropriate language .......

I think we should all draw a line under it, Cityman knew he was close to the knuckle with the post as he acknowledged in his title and sadly it was aimed (yes in a jokey, ironic, sarcastic way - however you want to phrase it) at other members whom he had already openly complained about ...... therefore it was perceived or could be perceived as mocking or even bullying in nature.

This forum has never had that in the four years i've been aboard and it took a little sour turn over the past few weeks resulting in some very valued and long standing members walking away - some who really needed the support which this forum has always offered & who have never stinted in giving their support to others in their times of need which is a great shame.

Cityman has had a mild warning from AndrewBLT - and hopefully that should now be the end of the matter.

As I posted to Mellow1 in another thread let us please all draw a line under this matter. Mellow1 and Matt need support, Cityman too has his needs and contribution to make and let us all please get back to doing what we've always done and I feel always been good at - providing a warm welcome to all and using our experiences and knowledge to support others on the journey of liver health.

Best wishes to everyone.
