ALT AST

Anyone with alt and ast that won't come down ?

Hi Godard it depends on the reason they are high..do you have liver disease ?.

If you have liver disease unless the condition improves then you sometimes have higher levels of ALT and AST.

Best to ask your consultant or doctor as to why your bloods have not got any better. X

I thought though even people with bad ciroshsis their alt and ast can be normal ?

Yes it can be normal up to a point..then you start to get slight increase as things start to progress...mine are still relatively normal but starting to show increase in AST and ALT and platelets are going down...but blood tests to tend to go up and down during the course of liver disease depending on the cause.
