I am waiting for my steroid treatment to start, can anyone tell me how they felt when on this type of treatment?

I am still waiting to find who much damage has been done to my liver too, not sure what to expect.

Hi fran123,

I was diagnosed as having that same condition with advanced level of fibrosis about three years ago.

I would like to suggest to you that you have a look at the autoimmunehepatitis.co.uk (recommended by BLT) support web site which is a lot more specific to Autoimmune hepatitis than is this one. The support group site has contributors from many parts of world including many long term sufferers some of whom have also developed cirrhosis and between them have a vast pool of knowledge on all aspects of the condition which they are always very willing to share with you as well as offerering support where they can. There is an abundance of information and shared experiences about the different types of steroids and effects etc that are used in the treatment of th e condition.

So if you haven't done so already please do have a look at the site .

Regards
