Yesterday I ran my 124th parkrun,my first one was 7 yrs ago.I got into Parkrun by being coerced by my two Grandsons telling me I should run with them and my Daughter and son in law.After making many excuses as to being too busy on a Saturday,then came the suckered punch this was there other Grandad ran with them thus the gauntlet was thrown down .Seven years later there is just me and a few hundred other runners many who have become friends

My Cockerpoo Harvey ran with me yesterday he loves it and is a good pace setter for me.Unless Harvey spots a squirrel then it is a super sonic burst of speed

Although it was not my fastest run it was my best effort since a recent health issue.

I ran Beyond 5k run 3 with Steve Cramm as my mentor and actually ran the parkrun in less than 40 mins and ran an extra 1mile&45 in I:04 :00 so feeling chuffed

That sounds like a really super run-congratulations!! Best runs can be for all sorts of reasons-some of my best are definitely not my fastest. It’s wonderful to measure success in as many ways as we can (to quote Coach Bennett from the Nike Run Club app).
