Well unfortunately it has again been too long since my last run.
As quite a few here will know, I'm not one for running in the rain 🤣
I know I know , skins waterproof 😁
But to be honest , I don't mind too much about getting wet but what I hate is running in soaking wet running shoes squelching away and having to dry them out again AND my latest shoes are far too new to get wet yet 😁
So, excuses over .
Today was forcast as dry and mild !
And also coincided with a day off, Always a bonus !
It is unseasonably mild for November!
So shorts and t-shirt were ideal .
Tech had all been charged yesterday and my watch synched with Garmin connect.
(Doing this always speeds up satellite lock on the day if not ben done for a while) .
There is not much to say about the run other than it was surprisingly comfortable.
Just a gentle trot around my usual 3k route .
I really now need to start stretching them out again.
So, home and stretches done and porridge and prunes for breakfast 😁.

The weather is something else at the moment. I’m going to try a rural walk (I have covid at the moment and am desperate to get some fresh air) soon and I’m seriously considering shorts. Sounds like a great start to the day to get out and ticked off.

What a lovely photo of Misty, she looks so cute, that was a nice run for you today Ian, the weather is still quite warm for November, so what you wore for your run was correct, I wore much the same for yesterday's parkrun, well done on completing that as you call it 'a nice gentle 3K trot', glad you enjoyed it This morning I went a for a 12K walk in the countryside near to where I live, that route has to many hills, I have never ran on it but it's nice for walking as there are very few cars, only one van passed me on that road this morning.
Well done! I agree totally with you about wet shoes. That is the worst thing of all, especially if they are new. It took over 2 days for mine to dry out after my last experience of getting caught in the rain.
Yes, the rain put me off for a while too. I like a run in the rain, but not THAT rain! Like you, I'm doing short runs at the moment, but at least we still have running in our souls and our legs sometimes too!
I don't like getting wet either, but morning runs in the countryside mean my shoes nearly always get soaked from the dew. I've found merino socks are the answer. They warm up quickly and seem to wick the water away from my skin so my feet feel dry.
Hi I57! Wet feet for me is the norm at this time of year as I live in the countryside with farms surrounding us and fields so it’s always a given for me.
Many a time I’ve got to a point in my run when there’s been standing water across the part of the country lane I’m running and it’s just to far to turn around and go back the way I’ve come….so there’s no choice but to have to go through it and it envelops my feet… freezing muddy rain water! So it’s squelch squelch all the way home😂😂.

I too have been avoiding runninng in the rain, and seem to have been quite lucky so far, considering how much we've had lately, have managed to get two runs a week done, it's funny, in the early c25k days, didnt really bother me running in the rain, still, at least we're still getting out there, between showers!
