We haven’t run with Jo for a month, then we haven’t run for 2 weeks, I wouldn’t have believed how exhausting a covid outbreak could be! First there’s looking after everyone, making sure we’ve enough ppe in the houses, supporting people who are unwell and people who are scared. Then my boss went off with it then my night staff went off with which meant staying up all night. But whay hey…. it’s over.
Amongst all that my booster jab knocked me and then a heavy cold….
2 weeks since we ran and Jo is back able to run too, it was surprisingly easy and surprisingly fun, she’s on week 8 of c25k so we ran and chatted for 28 minutes then walked to 5k, she’s off to the stables now to ride.
It’s a grey day, mild with no wind, perfect. she ran back to me twice and I sped up to catch her up a few times but mostly we are a similar pace so can chat as we go. Willow stayed with us chatting for a while then wandered off back to the car.
We all three enjoyed that and the little dog? well she greeted everyone we saw with some yapping but other than that she trotted along with us wagging her tail
Happy running everyone and ooo 10k tomorrow, I see a lot of jeffing happening, we’ve already plotted our route 😁

You have had a rather rough last two weeks but well done on that run again this morning, by the way, I have had all 3 Covid jabs but I am still careful to avoid crowded places, especially indoors.
Good to hear that you managed to get out after Covid challenges. I was floored by the booster jab as well. Very glad to have had it though. Good luck with your 10k!
It’s all been a bit full on for you recently hasn’t it?! But I’m glad to hear things are back on a more even keel! And now you’ve done a 28 minute run today and plan a 10k tomorrow - how good is that!
Thanks, I’m really excited about tomorrow but my legs keep wondering if it’s a good idea but i’m off work til wednesday so a good time to stretch the legs
God what a tough time you’ve had. You would have enjoyed getting back to some sort of normal. Had my booster last week and flu and all ok. Good luck both of you tomorrow in your 10 km. 👍
Thank you, it’s going to take us hours but i’ve realised I’m excited because i’ve never planned a 10k before i’ve just run them when i’ve been feeling good and carried on, we’ve got bananas and melon for after
Goodness you are a busy lady! You amaze me that you get on with your running, whatever is going on and don't get discouraged if you have little breaks.Enjoy your run!
