What a palaver on Strava today

I set off on this mild morning for my 7k run which is now an 8k run due to a slightly different route as the canal has been too muddy, when Strava kicked in and said Distance 1 mile! I’d wondered where she’d been.

Is it me, I much prefer to be in Kilometres all my head works in this now with times etc. I told myself not to be put off by it and just run, I know where I’m going anyway, so I ran the route and thought I’ll get something out of this as I approached the final bit of 8k I ran on the .20 to hear her say 5miles!

It was only when I returned home to view the results I noticed it saying that this run could only be viewed by me! When did that change so after much faffing I found the page to return me to public view - I’m not a shy tortoise 🐢 it is what it is.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

I didn’t even know Strava could talk .. you must have the paid for version not the free one like me 😂

Yes she can talk, she did on the free one before I paid for it it used to come under audio on settings might be worth checking.

I also understand paces in min/km more happily than in imperial.

Think I might change to kms tomorrow.. I’ve worked out how to get voice cues now everyone .. but slow at techy things 😂
