RED January completed πŸ˜ƒπŸ₯³πŸ™Œ

I decided very late in the day to do RED January (New Year’s Eve, to be precise πŸ™„) because I really didn’t think I would be able to do it. But I have πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ 31 consecutive days of runs, 148.4km (wish I’d known - I’d have carried on for another 1.6km πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ) and 15 hours and 56 minutes. I’ve had numerous skating rink days, snow, rain, cold easterly winds, mud, puddles and a handful of the most glorious blue sky runs and I’ve loved it. I saved my longest run of the month for today to go out on a high - 10.6k at my 6.40/km happy pace, waving and saying hello to all the other runners out there (I saw one pair of female runners 4 times as we looped round each other πŸ˜‚). I had the It’s a Sin playlist on again and decided to match my cadence to each track - harder than it sounds, but it made the run absolutely fly by. By some quirk, the last track as I did the final few hundred metres was Kate Bush Running Up That Hill. Final day of YWA BREATH to do later, which I am going to carry on doing. Going to have a day off running tomorrow though, then back to it on Tuesday. Congratulations to all REDers finishing today. It’s been a blast and fantastic to have been running through the normally most miserable month of the year with so many positive VRBs.

Brilliant Sandie! It's been a blast hasn't it?! I got home to that track when I first played that playlist last week and it helped with the warm glow inside. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Definitely BC! The day the van kept going rather than going round the corner on the ice as I was skittering around had me thinking I had really gone crackers 😜

Reminds me of my 96 mile round trip to work, following tyre tracks through the snow!! Retirement has its compensations!!
