I haven't really got much to say but I just wanted to share the feeling that this morning's run gave me. I wasn't intending to post anything but while enjoying the beautiful sunrise this morning, I was lucky enough to have a starling murmuration fly overhead twice and I just thought that if it hadn't been for starting c25k all those months ago, I would be missing out on all this. I also had Les Mis' one day more blaring through my ears not long after this and it was only half way through the song that I realised I had the biggest grin on my face. Anyone that has seen my previous posts knows that I love the challenge of chasing the stats or overcoming a difficulty but this morning was all about the joy of the run. I hope you all have lovely runs and weeks too π
If it weren't for running, I'd be missing ou... - Bridge to 10K
If it weren't for running, I'd be missing out on all these beautiful mornings
What a lovely start to your day: starlings, a sunrise and Les Mis, sounds perfect. Thank you for sharing your wonderful photo. Runs like this make it all worth the while ππ
Oh that's so true! I thought my sunrise photo this morning was fab but yours is fabber! !π
Gorgeous post Pne π€© You canβt beat that warm and fuzzy glow when nature is putting on a show for you. Hope you have a great week π
Hi acountrycabbage! How are you? I hope you're ok. I came on the forum yesterday for the first time in a while so it's nice to 'see' you lol. I hope you have a great week too!
Funny enough, I havenβt been on since we last spoke! Work is keeping me busy but happily Iβve managed to keep up the running. Got my first 5K yesterday. Itβs been so long, I actually forgot that it was on my to-do list π€£π€£
What week are you on now?
That's fantastic! Well done, I bet you were over the moon when you realised haha! π Yeah, I know what you mean, life sometimes gets in the way. I'm going to try and get on the forum a little more regularly than I have done recently even if I'm not posting anything.
I'm currently on week 4 this week. Got the 8k this weekend (hopefully) if the weather plays ball. What about you?
Wow - Iβm almost tempted to get up early myself !!!
Great post, I totally agree with you I love being out in the fresh crisp morning air at the start of a new day, thereβs nothing better.
Running to Les Mis, thatβs certainly different π€ ...One Day More is a powerful song though, so I could see that working. Iβm glad you decided to put that post on and that youβre enjoying your early morning runs ππββοΈ
Thanks Couchphoenix! Yeah, I thought I'd mix my playlist up a bit. I have an eclectic taste in music to say the least. I was laughing to myself this morning actually as while I love listening to the odd musical song while running, I did a run last week and really enjoyed sweet's teenage rampage haha π
Lovely photo! I'm running and still missing the beautiful mornings. π³I often find myself grinning like a loon while I'm running. I guess if they wanted to cart me away, they'd have to catch me first. π
Hahaha love the confidence there as if someone wanted to catch me after the 3k point, it wouldn't be much of an effort for them π. Yes not every morning is beautiful but sometimes the light is just gorgeous. Might have to try a night run at some point to see what that's like
A beautiful sunrise Pnegirl. Running just keeps giving π
What a fabulous photo! Living quite near to a nature reserve we have loads of birds flying overhead at the moment, it's a magnificent sight. Keep enjoying those mornings π
Note to self: do not wuss out of going out in the mornings.... you're missing the magic. π
Though seeing the owl on Saturday evening was something special too.
Hahaha, make that note a big one as when it's cold and frosty out, it's sometimes a battle of wills to leave a nice, warm bed lol.I know that sounded brilliant when I read your post. It's when things like that happen you realise that you're in nature's territory good and proper. Makes you feel grateful to share in it π
