Week 12 of 15 with Sgt Major Garmin 💂♀️and Week 4 of new job 👩🏼💻 has been a tough combination...but complete! ✅ Good old Jeff Galloway obviously knew I was having a hard time fitting it all in as I only had 2 days of drills in my workout this week 😲, but even that required a little rescheduling 😬. Yesterday, I woke up with tight calves and muscles from all of the sitting down 🙄, so I thought it wiser to abandon my drills until today 🤓.
Today, I was still “Running On Empty”, but not soar. My trusty Nike App had just the right motivations to get me through it 👌🏽. There was nothing spectacular about it , but it was good to be outdoors 🌳.
Position 236 in LEJOG and I’ve covered just over 358 miles now. Happy to be resting at the ‘VIP Group’ on the LEJOG Map 🗺 🇬🇧🏃🏽♀️...😆!
I just have to work out a way to commit to quit at a reasonable time and get a walk 🚶🏽♀️/ run 🏃🏽♀️ in each day. Not for the step count, but I really need to do that for general well-being. Work is not likely to slow down for quite a while. So, I need to reorganise my mindset 🦾 as the fresh air does give you the headspace needed 💆🏽♀️.
I made it through the week and it’s gonna get better!! Come on Sgt Major Garmin...Jeff & The Commitments...we’ve got work to do!! 💂♀️🏃 🎼 ...🤝 🏃🏽♀️

Sounds like you are doing a lot of juggling at the moment Fabulous. It’s crucial to get the balance between work and time for ourselves right but it’s never easy I know. It sounds to me like you are on the right side of it all. Adapting with a little flexibility goes a long way to preserving our sanity and the status quo.
Great progress on the map. VIP group! Wow! I didn’t know they had such a thing and so impressed you are amongst it. Go girl! Sgt Major Garmin must be proud.
Rest day for me today means a long dog walk across the fields: wellies are at the door waiting.
No, it’s not a LEJOG VIP Group! 😳 (I wouldn’t qualify...😂!), it’s where I am on the LEJOG map (see photo 😉). I had better edit my post to make that bit clearer 😳...😂😂!
I really want to walk on my rest days too. Silly really, as a 20 minute walk to end the day should be so easy to do. Some adjustments to the work life balance are certainly needed. I think I might have to set myself a little challenge to do that this week! Enjoy the walk ! Let’s keep going!! 🇬🇧🦾❤️
Thanks so much!! 🤗 I’m locked down too! 😂!! What an experience this year has been. It took 8 months to get through 6 stages and I’ve only been working a month. Except for only one day when I had to travel into work to get my IT equipment sorted, I have not seen one person in the flesh!
It’s probably going to be that way for a quite a while though. So, I have a bit of time to get my routine and boundaries set! 😉❤️
You certainly don’t have time to get bored do you Fab450?! I can’t keep up! I’m glad Sgt Garmin is still doing his bit - for some reason I told his civilian counterpart Mr Garmin that he could discard my run this morning instead of saving it. So he did! Rats! Can’t believe how well you’re doing on LEJOG- huge well done and clapping of hands to spur you on!
Ah thanks so much Oldgirlruns!! 🤗 If winter was going to be my norm, I’d already be in running hibernation. So, true to every aspect of this year, norm is simply not in fashion!! 😉
I see Mr Garmin is a lot more civil! Discard a run?...far too accommodating! 😲 That must have been a bit frustrating!
I can feel Sgt Major eyes on me when I’m sat down and it’s yet another long day. I get the 💂♀️...🤨...😖...so I do know it’s got to happen! 😊❤️
We have had to ease up a bit because we realised we are coming home achy on the long runs and then don’t go for a while so winter plan is no plan just 30 minutes as often as we can
Ah thanks Mummycav!! 🤗 I’d say it’s more of a protest at the moment. 😂 I will have my time to run!! I have had to rearrange the long run that was meant for today and do drills instead. There’s no way I would have time for the 6 mile run today ☺️! That’s a weekend run for sure! 😉 Keep going...we can do it!! ❤️
