10k done and feeling fantastic!

Finished Juju’s magic plan this morning. So impressed that I can jog double the length of C25K and for 80minutes none stop. I know it can’t really be me - somebody new has taken over!!

Only issue was that it was sunny one minute and rainy, windy and cold the next. Loved it in the rain but obviously I got wet and then 🥶 during the final walk home. I probably needed to continue running but my legs knew I had achieved the goal and weren’t up to it. Any ideas on how best to avoid getting so cold after you’re already so wet but finished running?

A hot shower, hot cup of tea and an hour back in bed and I’m sorted again.

Congrats !! Same here - my first 10K today in the pouring rain (though it was quite sunny at the start) and also in 80mins ! I took a lightweight running waterproof with me, ran with it tied round my waist but was glad for it on the walk home even though by then it had stopped raining - an extra layer to stay warm even though it’s not ‘warm’. Was quite cheap at about £25 from decathlon online (otherwise they can be at least £125 from other outlets !).

Hi Juliet202, congrats to you too. Hope you’re feeling as proud of yourself as I am. I’ve come to the conclusion that this is one of the most rewarding things I’ve actually ever done.

Thanks for the tip about the waterproof. Never like the idea of having something around your waist but definitely needed something today. Love a look around decathlon so will head there soon.

Congratulations on completing the magic plan. I did my 10k last Thursday, it is such am amazing feeling.

My paper magic plan I recorded the runs on has got wet a few times and is in tatters but I have repaired it with tape. I can't bear to throw away as it shows this amazing journey of highs and lows. Enjoy the rest of your day with the warm feeling that you have done it!! 🏆🏆🎯🎯
