Ever since I did the Great South Run last October Iβd been saying I would come back to do Parkrun with the Southsea crew. After a weekend boating on the Thames (great fun in Storm Alex π³), we popped down to Hampshire, spent yesterday sightseeing, then went out for a lovely meal with the (V)RBs. This morning they kindly allowed me to gatecrash this weekβs (not) Parkrun. The idea is that everybody arrives at the end about the same time, so with a staggered start Oldgirlruns , Coddfish and Dexy5 set off, followed by me and Mr Coddfish then finally our Speedy Gonzalez UpTheStanley . It was a lovely sunny morning, a bit of an infamous Southsea headwind on the way back, but out and back along the seafront in 32.23 for me. Sadly Strava stopped recording at 2.3k but thankfully Mr C was recording. Coddfish had a hair appointment so Mr Sandie was able to join us as we then adjourned to the Beach Cafe for a yummy breakfast. Thank you lovely runny friends for your company. See you again soon hopefully π

FABULOUS!! Well done everyone xx
Well done to you all, two lovely photos, glad that you enjoyed your run today Sandie1961. ππ
Jolly good fun!!
It was so lovely to see you and Mr Sandie again, and we were only too pleased to make you an honorary member of the Motley Crew. I managed to achieve positive splits thanks to the westerly breeze, but got a not parkrun PB of 32:46. I put that down to the fact that I had a target on my back for you, Mr C and UpTheStanley to aim at.
So glad it was a lovely sunny morning , after the storms of the weekend.
Safe journey and hope that we Donβt have to wait another 11 months until we meet up again .

Lovely that Sandie was able to join us this week for a good run, two good meals and a modicum of wine .... Despite the headwind on the return leg, (not) parkrun PBs for Coddfish and Dexy5 , and a respectable 24'41" for me (exactly the same time as Saturday, but with more wind and less wine in the equation ).
What a lovely post Sandie; it was so good to share our seafront with you and for Mr Sandie to join us for brekky! No-one is to try and guess the calorific value of the food please! My time was 47:49, which turned out to be my second fastest, so I have a bit of work to do to beat my best but my back held out so Iβm happy with what I did. And of course I added an extra 500mtr by stopping at a different place to you lot, as Dexy pointed out when she passed me doing my post trot stretches. So I had to give chase and leg it down to the right end point or I was in danger of missing out on the post (not) Parkrun photo! I hope you have a good trip home and that itβs not too long before we can all meet up again!
Never mind the photo, itβs the breakfast which is the important thing π
Great to see the happy band together. Health Unlocked Globetrotters! ππ
Really good to see you all doing the VRB get together thing. Well done everybody. I hope you enjoyed your breakfast π₯π³π₯π₯βοΈπ½
Yay friends! So glad you got to run together. π₯° A lovely mini meet-up for you all. β€οΈ Jealous of your breakfast! π
No running for me until Friday or Saturday, but plenty of walking here in Cornwall. ππ¨πΎ
Hope you are having a wonderful time in Cornwall Cheeky. And also hope your back is in fine fettle again.

Enjoy my home county cheeky! Although born in Scotland and many years abroad so Iβm a bit of a nomad these days. Lots of hills for running and down thoughπ€ if you really wanted to get out there!
Great running and well done all for meeting up for a post run breakfast. Keeping that parkrun spirit alive. Hopefully when all this craziness is behind us I'll get to meet the Southsea crew for a post parkrun breakfast and complete another point on my compass challenge.
Damien
Great running all. Love the photos Sandie and I hope you all enjoyed your post run breakfast πββοΈπββοΈππ

Happy running (not) Parkrunners, so nice to see your smiley faces doing what we love best...running and breakfasting!π€πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈxxx
You chose a great day for it Sandie! Sorry I couldn't be there too - we were away for the day visiting newest granddaughter. Next time - definitely!π
That's soooooo nice to see again! A meet up! Whooop whoop!! I love that idea of the staggered start too πxx
Nice idea but when UTS starts 5 minutes after me and Mr C and finishes nearly 5 minutes before, π€ It did work well actually and it was wonderful to have a βgroup of 6β meet up ππ
Thatβs just rubbing it in! He is fast though... Katnap would do the same π
We need to meet up whilst we can still use the cafes!
Definitely! Going to speak to Clive about Vitality tonight and see if he is going to be here to organise a route. If not, can we come to Stratford?
Of course you can, that would be lovely π! We may need to avoid the park if it keeps raining though as it has started flooding again π
How absolutely brilliant! Fantastic pictures and a lovely way to all get together. Loved reading this ππππ
Lovely to see you again Sandie, glad you made it home safely. Conditions relatively benign yesterday, we are back to the Great South Westerly today, much as you experienced on Tuesday.
Great read and to see you all
