Mist, Acorns and a PR for 5k

Mist was covering the hills as I reluctantly set out on Run 3 of Week 3 of the Magic plan. By the time my breathing had become steady and my legs were moving in a slow (very slow) rhythm I started to enjoy myself. Today, acorns were scattered over the narrow country lane and I only had to jump into the hedge once when a tractor took the whole width of the lane. I had to run nearly 300ft up on this run and find that hard (very hard). I reached home with Strava showing 6.9km and did a small circuit back up the road.

The final result was 7.57 km (I over did the extra circuit) in 62 minutes. I achieved a Strava PR for 5km of just under 40 minutes - must have been when I was running back down those 300 ft! :) Felt good. Glad I went.

What a great run especially with that hill, fantastic that you got a new Pb as well. Happy running 🤗

Thank you. I hadn't thought about claiming the badge. I am aiming for the big 10km which seems a long way away atm. :)

It won't be long before you can do 10k! In the meantime, you can have that 60 min badge! Not sure I can remember how to request it though!
