Returned from Crete...

Well that just shows me that I can’t have seven days of three course breakfasts and eating my body weight in ice cream, lying by the pool, doing nothing in the Greek sunshine and expect to pick up my running where I left off.

From 14k nine days ago to ONE KILOMETRE today.

I’ve put on half a stone and could feel every bounce of extra weight as I wobbled up the hill. Still, great holiday and I’m looking forward to running again tomorrow.

Running is good for mind and body... but a week off, especially one full of excess, is good for the soul. Good job getting the comeback run done... it’ll all come back to you rapidly.

It’s so unfair isn’t it? To lose half a stone can feel like it takes half a year, but it goes on so so quickly. But it’s nipping it in the bud that’s critical. Go you TTS...it’ll be off in no time.

Don’t be hard on yourself

Thank you!

Certainly was worth it. And after Friday's 1k, I did 5K on Saturday and then again on Monday. By that reckoning I should have run this morning but the weather was terrible so I am now debating my first ever evening run, just to keep the every other day routine going.... but I don’t want to... I do.... I don’t... aaaggghhh!

....well, I did go out and I ran 3k. Better than nothing but not my target of 5k. The humidity may be part of it but I think it’s a mental block more than anything.

Oh well. There’s always Friday.

Good luck to you in your running.
