I haven't posted for a little while, but that doesn't mean I haven't been running 😊
In fact, I've managed quite a few longish runs since we've been on lockdown, over 100k so far this month, as I haven't been able to work since our business was closed down due to the current situation.
I like to be busy all the time 😂 so when I haven't been running I've been busy baking, cooking, cleaning and making things in our workshop in the cellar 😂
My first project was making a Picnic Table for the Sqirrels 🤣🐿️ Which is now finished and the squirrels are coming to eat at the table! I managed to photograph one this morning! 😃
My second project is making a Bee Hotel 🐝 On one of my non running days, I went for a walk with my husband and son and we picked up loads of logs from the woods to fill it with. It's even got a planished tin roof! 🤣 It's almost finished now. All I've got left to do is wax the outside and drill loads of holes in all the logs and place them inside the Hotel 🏫
My cat like to come onto the cellar and watch my work! 🙀

😂🤣😁 My real handy man/woman skills are in mechanical engineering! I'm a fully qualified mechanic with a degree in mechanical engineering, but my heart and soul and passion is in music 🎶♥️
Eeeeeek anything mechanical Ali I'm stuffed........ So I find a mechanic asap 🥳.
Once upon a while ago I read as a typical Gemini it's a trait to know a little about a lot..... Rather than know a lot about a little..... I think I agree.

And I'm quite good at driving many things with engines even if when they break I'm bamboozled 🙃
And I'm guilty of scribblings my poetic verses for competitions every once in a while .....
And it's took me to get to 50yrs old to realise I love running 🙂
You are very multi talented! Maybe post some of your poems on here? I love poetry! My two favourite poetry books at the moment are The World's Wife by Carol Ann Duffy and Call It Thought by Stephen Rodefer.
My husband is a Gemini too 😊 he can also multi task 🤣 I'm a Pisces - away with the fairies🧚🏻♂️🤣
Hmmmm Carol Ann Duffy I can take or leave but I'd choose the one and only Queen of verse Pam Ayres over her 😁, I like her ability to change her writings, Mr Larkin also works as does Mr Hegley..... Definitely my fave book is probably my late dad's and that's "A Shropshire Lad" A E Housman. But I'm a sucker for most verse.

I know Granspeed 🐿️ I'm becoming obsessed watching the wildlife! I did play a few songs in the garden for the neighbours a couple of weekends ago 🎶 It was really lovely ♥️
I’m doing well. We are in “lockdown” but a lot of people are not following the rules. I go out once a day to get some sunlight aka workout and then head back home and get ready for telework (my new normal). I jog by a park on my route and I see people socializing and hanging out. We just have to make due with the cards we have all been dealt this year. Stay safe fellow female engineer.
Yes, it's been a bit of a change of lifestyle all round in our household. My son is home from university (which is lovely for me, but an uncertain time for him as he was planning on going to university in Japan in September!) My husband is at home (which is lovely for all of us, but an uncertain time because of not knowing what will happen to our business once lockdown is over!) And I am at home (which I am thoroughly enjoying because I have time to run, cook and be creative, but again uncertain as to how long it will take me to rebuild my business after lockdown. So I am making the most of the time off before the hard work starts again.
People in my part of town which is on the outskirts of the city on the edge of the countryside seem to be obeying the rules so far🤞
I hope for you it won't be long before you're back to your usual routine and back to your normal job! Stay safe too my fellow female engineer ❤️
