I did a short, 2 mile field run 2 weeks ago and have been suffering with pain and stiffness at the back of my left leg at the knee joint ever since. It is sore all the time, even at night. I can straighten my leg but not bend it fully. Symptoms don't suggest it's Baker's cyst or hamstring. Does anyone have any ideas as resting it doesn't seem to be working and I'm desperate to run again? Stay safe everyone.

Sorry to hear about your knee. Have you been ice and heat treating it? I am definitely no expert but I have had a knee injury at the start of c25k and found that rest , ice alternating with heat helped. It still took 2/3 weeks before I ran again. Good luck

We aren't doctors, you've got to go and see one. A physio would be able to diagnose and suggest treatment.

Womangolfer advice excellent until you can see a physio after the madness is over. It may be frustrating but best not to run until the pain subsides & then a bit of extra slow running. In the meantime some gentle stretch and flex to keep you fit.
