Officially this was a recovery run, but in an effort to avoid people I took the lessusedbylocals route out, so basically ran up a steep, grassy hill as soon as my warm up walk finished 🤦♀️
Views were as gorgeous as ever, improved by the sight of 2 deer who crashed across the path with Merlin in pursuit - I called him off, so no problems there, but then Taylor caught the scent a few minutes later (long after the deer themselves had vanished) so things got a bit noisy while she tracked.
Tomorrow is a rest day. Been a while since I’ve really looked forward to having one of those where running is concerned 😁 But a gentle stroll with truck driving husband* who’s due to get home later this morning, will probably be on the cards.
*he normally does theatre work, but has been ‘seconded’ by Asda, and is living out of his truck in his work’s yard. Could be a lot worse, at least he has company there.
