So... 30 minutes of running done. Covered 3.6k so not far but also not too shabby. Found it slightly tough going on my calves but that could just be because they're still hurting after doing Monday's PE session with Joe Wicks πŸ˜‚ will definitely do again

Well done, sounds good 😁 How did you track it?

On my garmin, set it to indoor run, I assume it measures steps taken...

Was it good?

Not bad!! Obviously not the same as going outside but ran quite comfortably for 30 minutes, found it a bit tough on my calves but they were hurting anyway after doing Joe Wicks PE session on Monday πŸ™ˆ definitely a passable alternative

in reply to Mum22boys

ok, thats good to know, will you do it again?

Yeah definitely, it's no where near as taxing as running outside, but it's better than nothing and if we're in this for the long haul then it's definitely worth trying

in reply to Mum22boys

ok, thanks for replying... its really good to know.. :)

Sounded like a good workout Mum22 and how great to be able to do it inside and not have to do a poop scoop in the garden first, like I had to when doing C25k (the dogs not me!) πŸ˜‚

Hi, it's in a pinned post (off the couch from a couple of days ago) in the c25k forum... hopefully I've copied this properly...

Hi guys !! Yes we also went for a 30 minute 'run in our living room yesterday !! The thought of losing all the benefits of running , for what really is now an indefinite period, is depressing ,so took up the suggestion of running on the spot .Played some great 1960s music to get the mood set and then went for it !! A bit strange at first ,but hey h o it works ! Carrying on with the supplementary exercises as well .I'm afraid with us both being in our 60s and my wife being high risk we are under house arrest for the duration ,then who knows ,cause this thing ain't goin' anywhere fast !! Stay safe guys !

This is good to hear! It is strange at first but so much better than nothing. Like you really don't want to lose all the running benefit. Keep it up!
