I think I must be a tourist!

I have now done 34 parkruns and 10 different ones. We are going skiing next weekend and our son and his girlfriend are coming with us. As we are driving and they are flying, we offered to take their gear to avoid them having to pay Ryanair a huge amount of money! So last night I went to stay with honorary HUers Clive and Julie and did Braunstone in Leicester with them this morning before carrying on down to Northamptonshire. It is a lovely route around what used to be a Manor House, so has woodland, formal beds, lakes and today at least some very claggy muddy bits. It is slightly undulating but nothing too serious and their normal finishing straight up a grassy slope was changed for a flat tarmac finish. Still haven’t got my official time, but Strava 5k time was 29:35 (3rd fastest 5k) 😃😃 Hope you have all had a good day Parkrun or not!

Nice one Sandie! PR tourism is indeed very addictive - as you and I know all too well! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

So you’re a regular sub 30 runner now clearly. That’s amazing! The fact you had mud to contend with today too made it even more impressive. 💪

I did Severn Bridge and there was a slight headwind on the outward bound leg (it’s usually on the return leg). I love that PR. I might even go again next weekend!!

Have a good running (and otherwise) week. 😀👍🏃‍♀️

Enjoyed the claggy bit 😊. My long run day was hijacked by Mrs BC. She decided that I needed some new clothes! Lunch, flat white and salted caramel chocolate brownie thrown in... call me a cynic, but I think this is a balancing out exercise from January sales 😂

Just for you BC 😃 Maybe a good thing - Mr Sandie buys new clothes once in a blue moon😂 We stopped off at a brand new cafe at Fosse Park for cappuccino and toasted tea cake 😋

Really looking forward to skiing. Last year was so much better and this year I am even stronger. Plus a week with Clive and Julie and, even better, my lovely son is going to be such fun 🥰

Great time for your pr. Enjoy the skiing, hope it's as fantastic as mine was at the start of the month. I'll be interested to hear the difference running has made to your skiing.

Thanks GTB! I had started to become frustrated with skiing, because I just wasn’t fit enough, but last year was a revelation. This year I am even fitter, so can’t wait 😊

Enjoy your skiing Sandie! Any parkruns over there?😋

Not many parkruns in France, but I’m not sure I would fancy running where there’s 1.3m of snow!
