Christmas Running pt. 1

So I planned to run everyday of my holiday and have to confess that of the 10 possible runs I could have done so far I've only managed 8 (hats off to all you Marcothon folk) - missing Christmas Day (just couldn't find a moment to escape) and the day after Boxing Day when it was a choice between running and seeing my daughter back off to York.

Nevertheless the 8 runs I have put in have included a favorite route (back from the old C25K days), a new (mud-free) route and an unexpected 10k this morning celebrated with the hot chocolate above 😁. Am hoping for good things from the remaining week.

Hope you have all enjoying the festive season, however you have spent it.

Happy New Year to you all and good running.

8 runs is better than none. Hope you enjoyed your 10k and your lovely hot chocolate with a mountain of marshmallows. πŸ‘πŸ‘

Great effort with all those runs. I thought I was doing well getting out on alternate days. Goodness today’s run was so windy, that was a new challenge for me. Enjoy the rest of your runs.

Not too windy here - just damp and cold. Am pining after crisp bright mornings at the moment!

Winds blowing a hoolie for 24hrs. My app said 32 k/h gusting to 65./so of course I chose an open moorland 🀣🀣 I’ll learn. Happy new year

I would have been happy with 8/10 at school πŸ˜‰. Not a bad percentage .. keep it up you can still increase your percentage πŸ˜ƒ

8 /10 runs especially at Xmas is brilliant and adding a 10k also. Well done

That's pretty good, 8 runs in 10 days! I'm impressed!

And quality over quantity too, it sounds like.

Well done!

Thank you. Some have just been local pavements though. Local fields are a bit waterlogged πŸ™„

Everywhere is soggy! All of mine have been pavements... some track when hubby and I can run together. They all count!

Sounds great to me! 😊 Not the hot chocolate though! Don't you find those marsh mallows so sweet!?

Haha - yes they are sweet but they were very welcome yesterday! Set out hoping to do more than 5k but not really thinking I'd do 10k. Had only had a cup of tea prior to going out so by the time I'd finished I was craving sugar!
