What a crisp morning it is too! But...no rain, so pretty good conditions (I tell myself) 😀.
I was feeling a bit stiff yesterday after Saturday’s tempo run, so I was a little unsure about how I would feel today or if I should have another rest day. Going out in all weather’s is one thing, but this body needs to be working well. 😂
I have a 2k recovery run on my plan and the recommended pace is 9 something (I know, more like a walk), which is actually pretty hard to do, so off I go to see how slow I can go. I have gloves today and that little essential key to get back in the house 🤓😉.
Slow, slow, slow! 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️ Back up the higgeldy, piggeldy, hilly run path, but by choice and without any concern today. It’s gonna be slow on purpose, so why not?😁!
I’m enjoying it so much, there’s 2 breakouts of singing 🎧 🎤 🎶 and running in step to the music 💃🏽. I realise that hasn’t happened in a while 😍. It wasn’t as slow as recommended, but it was slow. Then I hear you’re in your last minute of the run now 😲. I’m still on the outward phase 😂! Well...what’s a girl to do, but carry on and run back 🏃🏽♀️😃. On my way back I see a lovely black and white cat, running towards me. I sort of expected it to move off in another direction, but clearly I’m no threat as he/she just keeps on coming and even looks at my feet as he/she is passing with a look that I could swear said “Mmm...could do with some improvements” 🤣! That made me laugh to myself. I had a wonderful total 4K run 🏃🏽♀️!
I even decide to take a walk around the little park near home. Trying to follow the old C25K principles to help build up stamina for the next run. I do my stretches in the park and as I walk around I notice there’s still a puddle. So, I turn back🤓! No icy water or mud today! I’ve done my bit!! 😂 Time for home! 🏡

They sure are, I shall be walking with a friend tomorrow morning and playing 🎷 after but it won’t be too taxing so will probably go for a short run in the afternoon with Willow. I’ve been looking up cadence so may try with my metronome app and see what happens, i want to stay slow so willow can run without hurting his knee

But, alas, half term, DaddyCav off for the next couple of days and a trip to IKEA on the cards this morning my run will have to wait till later in the dark, even though the mixture of your post and the gorgeous sunshine outside is giving me those running butterflies and a yearning to make the most of it..well done Fab...you are just that FAB-U-LOUS!! X
I can tell Fab, it's the best feeling isn't it?! I bet that little cat could tell too?! I am def itching to go out now...but that will make my run even more enjoyable when I get there x
There, you see, tortoise runs can be good runs! 🐢👏🏼 Next time you need 9 something pacing, I’ll come along to show you how it’s done. Easy peasy for me! 🤣 And your route looks lovely. Happy running. 😄🌞

Great job with that little key thing.The run wasn’t bad either 🤣. Slow running isn’t that easy to do but it feels so good when we get into it. Keep on rocking it the Fab way.
Thanks so much BTP!! 🤗 That black and white cat was certainly on a mission today. It could be that he was off to find Pat and from that look, I definitely didn’t meet up to the requirements. In fact, I might just have been getting in the way 🙄! 😂❤️
Thanks so much Puppy-love!🤗 It wasn’t the first time I’ve been out without the key, but only when someone is home 😂. I keep a single key on its own so I don’t have to listen to the bunch jangling. I did think I had it with me. After all that, it turns out I must have lost it on the run 😳. It wasn’t in the house 🙄. But I did have a very happy run though. 😃❤️
