I've been away for a long time due to broken ligaments which happened early June. I had just reached 7km runs then so was very upset that I couldn't run. After 2 months I was able to start again with very short runs until one week I couldn't help myself and did park run. I have now started a Bridge to 10k, and achieved 7.3km on my first run so I now feel I'm back where I was over 4 months ago. My aim is still 10km in 60mins by the end of the year.

Welcome back. Great comeback... hopefully your weekly milage increase is in the safe range... you’re well and truly on target for the 10k, obviously I can’t comment on sub 60. Enjoy the rest of the year’s running and good luck with that time target.

Thank you, yes, I got back to 5k and then kept going until I felt ready to start the journey to 10k

Good stuff... we can have a tendency to get back too soon, but I did get the impression you were being very sensible with the very short runs bit of what you said. We look forward to awarding your graduate badge here too.
