I have my Huawei band 3 pro running watch which I’m very happy with for a starter watch but I would love the Apple Watch does anyone have the 4 series and what are the features and more important what’s the battery life like as I’ve been hinting to the wife for Christmas lol 😂
I just want peoples opinion : I have my Huawei... - Bridge to 10K
I just want peoples opinion
I’m interested to hear responses to your questions too! 😊
I had the series 2 and generally I was impressed....however the gps was quite inaccurate...if I ran up a canal and back the outward leg would record properly but the return would be “way off”
I have just treated myself to the Garmin Forerunner 245, which is a fantastic bit of kit.
I’m sure the series 4 will have better gps and await other replies with interest.
I have a series one. I only really started to use it when I started c25k then it came into its own. I get a lot of data - cadence, elevation, calories, distance, maps etc etc. I don’t know anything about the garmins but I love how the watch interacts with my phone.
Sounds great what is the battery like how long does it last until you need to charge it 😉👍
Can’t comment on Apple but my partner has just bought a Garmin 245 (the one that has Spotify) and he is really impressed with it. In fact we’re both a bit obsessed with it at the moment! I too am dropping big hints for Christmas 😉
Lol 😂 good on you you might get one for Christmas 🎄😉👍
Sorry I also meant to say he takes his running seriously and can easily do 10-12k. He’s really impressed with the amount of stats the watch can throw at him, plus the screen is very easy to read whilst running. Only downside is he can’t seem to download bbc podcasts, others are fine but not bbc. He’s in contact with Spotify about this. Battery life seems fine. 🎄 - 🤔 if I don’t his might go ‘missing’! 😂
I have an apple series 3. I have used it extensively through the c25k and then when I did the 10K plan too. I also use it for yoga and other gym stuff whenever I have done( I sound too fit! I am not 😂) . But yes, it has delivered. I have had no issues with GPS. It records the run and splits and other data ( which I haven’t looked much into). I can receive calls and even speak into it while running and play songs ! I am happy with it😀
Will try to upload a pic of stats !
My husband has an apple watch, he loves his but battery is really only a day at best, it goes on charge every night. He doesn't use it for recording (he cycles, not runs) there's no way it would have coped with the 107 miles he did yesterday, even his Garmin computer needed charging on the go.
I'm sure it would be fine for up to a few hours recording max. His sister has one too, only got hers at Christmas last, she loves it too but uses her old basic Garmin watch for long distance recording (she's an ultra runner). I'll check but I think she uses apple for training runs.
Right thank you for that so the battery lasts as long as you iPhone umm might have to rethink it as my Huawei band 3 pro lasts longer than a day easy 3 to 4 days because I would be using it for the gym and my running and walking so I’m going to see what other options I have but I do love Apple products shame about the battery I will be doing 10K and 5k on a Saturday parkrun and the gym and walking so battery might die on me a lot but thank you for that info much appreciated 😉👍
No, I think you'd get through your Saturdays, but depending on your long term goals, it might let you down.
When I finally decided on the Garmin 645M it never occurred to me that I might need more that 5hrs recording (with music on) so now if I'm out for a long one I have to get my phone to do music so I can get max recording from the watch (up to 13 hrs with no music)
Course the thing is we really don't know where this crazy thing will take us until we get there 🤣🤣🤣
