First ever park run ๐Ÿ˜„

Itโ€™s almost my 1st year runversary and since graduating C25K in December I also did Ju-Juโ€™s bridge to 10k. Iโ€™ve only been running outside for a couple of months but really love it and wish Iโ€™d listened to everyone and got outside sooner.

Iโ€™ve signed up for the great pink run 10k in October so figured Iโ€™d better tackle a park run as it covers some of the same course. I actually found it a lot tougher than I was expecting, thereโ€™s quite a steep part that you tackle 3 times so my legs are sore this evening. I managed to get round in 0:34:25 and came 186 out of 221 so I didnโ€™t finish last ๐Ÿ˜‚. I should be able to improve on that time now I know what Iโ€™m doing ๐Ÿ˜„

Chilling now with my feet up and a glass of wine

Congratulations on completing your first 5k Parkrun in a very good time of 34.25, round about the same time as my first 5k and first parkrun, you deserve that nice glass of wine. Earlier this week I graduated to Graduate10 and celebrated today by buying a nice box of chocolates. ๐Ÿ˜Š, however, I did not buy any wine ๐Ÿท.

Well done! You beat me - I only managed 36 minutes.

The thing is, there was a huge build - up at the front, and being a newly I hung back a bit before setting off! But who cares - we did it, that's what matters!

Congrats to you as well.

I was the same I didnโ€™t really know what to expect so was one of the last to start. I wonโ€™t make that mistake next time ๐Ÿ˜„

Well done e-beans, I'm very much a solo runner so can understand your trepidation...well done on getting out there! You need to find a Parkrun with a nice flat route for next time ๐Ÿ˜‰
