I did it π. Not going to lie it was really hard at some points and really awesome at some points. The straight up hill in the last .2 miles nearly did me in and I nearly told my running friend who pacing me that I really didnβt give a %*#? If I finished but came across the line 2 1/2 mins faster than I was hoping for.
What I have learned is I am a creature of habit I prefer to know the route better. I misjudged the turn around point and mentally it was really hard. Also Flat Course is in the eye of the beholder as there were to extremely steep uphills that also meant two extremely steep down hills.
Interestingly about 1/2 a mile from the finish I kept telling my running partner the same thing I told my husband when I was transitioning in labour both times π.
I survived and I am off to claim my 10K badge

Congratulations, so you compared your 10K to labour pains, lol, as a guy I don't know about that, however, by the end of the month I hope to run my first 10K, so at least I will know how that feels. π π
Not so much to pains as the mental aspect. Crossing the line may have been pretty darn close to them handing me my babies though. It all goes away and you donβt care.
Well done to you thatβs a fantastic achievement πππππ Iβm a bit behind you Iβm on W12R2 next only 14weeks but Iβm loving it. I canβt wait to claim my 10K badge like you have itβs a fantastic feeling completing something you must be so proud of yourself ππππππππββοΈπββοΈπ π
