Well I’m gutted. Went out with a 10k route sorted and pulled my groin again. Not a happy bunny. IC for me 😭

Sorry about your injury Chris, you will just have to rest for a few days, hopefully it won't be long before you can get running again.

Oh no! Did it happen on an easy section?

Maybe you can do some strength and flexibility work while on the IC

oh that's a shame

take care and do everything you're supposed to and it will get better!

Most runners get injured and patience is the hard lesson we have to learn.

My only advice from someone who's had a fair share of time on the IC is to to be over cautious when it comes to resting and don't go back to running too soon. I assume you want to run forever and so this is just a little blip πŸ™‚

Yeah this is a blip. I’ve been reading it can take up to 6 weeks in some instances. I’m hoping a few weeks will sort it rather than the 6. I go on holiday again in 2 weeks so I’m going to leave off until I’ve come back. So 3 weeks break

The roads/trails will still be there for you when you return. And your body will remember what to do. You've got an inbuilt fitness now so you'll build up again no problem.

I hope so, just as things are really coming together this happens. My first race is 6 weeks today so fingers crossed I’ll be back into it by then πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜

Thanks Cheeky. I’m gutted must admit πŸ‘ŽπŸΌ

Sorry to hear that Chris, hope it’s a minor one and you have a quick recovery. I pulled mine a few weeks ago, could feel it getting worse but being pigheaded did the 10k and haven’t run since. Like you I looked at the recovery times (which is a bit depressing) and also recovery stretches which I am doing. I am going to stop for at least four weeks (I have done one already) and see how it goes from there, but as Irish Princess says, I won’t be taking any risks ( it takes long enough without any setbacks).

On the plus side, at least the weather will be cooler then!

Yeah it should much cooler then
