After finishing my C25K three weeks ago I decided to do my local Parkrun. It was very wet!! So pleased with my time though! It was a great atmosphere as always.

That’s very exciting. My first PR was about 32:33 but I have been slacking ever since and so am not getting any closer to the 30. I can do 1k stints in under 6 minutes but to string 5 of them together... it remains a dream, however! Good luck!
Oh, my official time is usually a bit quicker. Probably cos I turn on mapmyrun before the flag goes down and then don't remember to switch it off as soon as I cross the finish line... 😂
It’s a lovely run and yes it’s right by the sea. Depending on the weather it can be good or bad! It can be quite blustery down there but it’s been lovely recently when its been so warm!
Welcome to the parkrun cult, beware, it’s very addictive. That map looks like Hartlepool parkrun, am I right? I spent a few days In Hartlepool last year researching my family history (a great great grandfather in the shipping industry of the 19th century) and of course fitted in a bit of parkrun tourism. We were outdone by meeting another tourist who had travelled all the way from Australia.
It was rather wet! When I reached the halfway point there were two marshalls on who were looking very wet! I was surprised by how strong the head on breeze was when we turned to return! Thanks for cheering me on!
