Race number has arrived!!

How exciting, my number for the Manchester 10k has arrived. I have tried to put a photo on my post but it won’t let me 😬

Having managed 9.3k last week (I went slightly over the planned 9!) I really feel I’ll be able to run the whole course which is my goal.

Will see you there Glossy! I too was very excited to get my number the other day - it feels very real now doesn’t it?! I’m nervous but excited.

Your 9.3k should set you up nicely for the run a fortnight away.

I finished Ju-Ju’s plan a few weeks ago so I’ve run 10k just the once.

I’m sort of faffing about a bit now, trying to mix up a few times and distances, don’t know if I’m doing it the right thing 🤷‍♀️.

Sounds like you’ve timed your training to perfection!

Ah, not sure how they organise the “waves”. You must be faster than me - I think green wave is maybe green for a reason??

Yes, it’s all about speed. I’m afraid mine was massively over-estimated so I probably don’t deserve to be purple! I suspect it will take me around one hour 20 ish

Yes, we had to predict our time so early that mine was guesswork too, but I’m around your pace too, so our paths may cross after all!

Very exciting indeed! I'm rather jealous but I promised myself I wouldn't do a 10k until properly ready and I'm a few weeks behind you in prep. You will be just fine, I'm sure - the excitement of race day will propel you the extra few hundred metres.

Exciting! Looks like there will be a bit of a healthunlocked posse at Manchester on the 19th, you, Cazza26 , Jay66UK , and paul1960 , what a great bunch, you should tell roseabi then she can add you to the events list on the Marathon and race support forum - then you’ll get a ‘shout out’ on the forum, pom-pom waving etc.,
