Feeling slightly less fed up...

And who wouldn't running a trail like this?..

Posted a couple of weeks ago about a weird bump on my knee and a dip in my running mojo (post holiday blues, hectic summer term ahead, healthy worries - perfect mix for descent into the doldrums!)

X-rays have now suggested said weird bump is a soft tissue swelling (probably a swollen bursa), possibly caused by a fall back last October and irritated by kneeling or running - though I have to wait until the end of May for an ultrasound to get the full picture (So the hypochondriac in me is still on alert! ๐Ÿ˜œ) and what any treatment might be.

The better news is that if it doesn't hurt (it doesn't) I'm ok to run on it (though no more kneeling!) - which is good as I'm needing to run off the angst of work at the moment!

Lovely trail run this morning has done me no end of good and planning another for bank holiday Monday.

Happy running this weekend to you all ๐Ÿ˜Š!

Thanks - though I'm coming for that wooden leg if the ultrasound doesn't go well ๐Ÿ˜‚.

All sounds positive Debs and glad you are feeling reassured. That photo makes me want to pull on my running shoes (tomorrow is my run day though!). Enjoy your Bank Holiday!๐Ÿ˜€

Thank you - I intend to! Hoping to get a lovely run in on Monday - enjoy running tomorrow. Hope your niggly knee is holding up!

That all sounds very positive Deb. I'm glad to hear you are able to still run on it while waiting for the next test - it sounds like you'll need the stress relief with work ramping up.

Am delighted I'm able to run and a bit less worried after the x-ray (though will still be anxious until after the ultrasound). Was great to be out there today - nothing better that a run through the great outdoors to lift the spirits ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Fantastic news Deb! Glad youโ€™ve been given the all clear to run, and yes that trail looks beautiful. ๐Ÿ˜

Volunteering at PR today for me in a very chilly wind. Still tons of fun though. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒ

I still think those of you who do park runs are brave. Think I'm a very anti-social runner - I love the solitude. Though ironically don't think I'd ever have got hooked the way I have without this fantastic community.

Good luck with the Bristol 10k!

Sorry to hear you have been feeling a bit fed up - but very happy to hear a lovely trail run sorted you out woo hoo! As we said on Strava, where would we be without our running, eh? ๐Ÿคช I have a good long one planned for tomorrow and I cannot wait. Clinging on to my mental health by a thread, but running is giving me the moments of calm I need. ๐Ÿ˜Š

And your knee issue - that does not sound unsolvable and you can run when itโ€™s not hurting? Yay! Hope the ultrasound goes well and they can fix it.

Happy running to you too, dear. ๐Ÿ˜˜

Thanks lovely Sadie.

I'm ok really - was just feeling sorry for myself. Ironically the bump is on my good not my niggly knee - so I have a knee that looks fine and sometimes niggles and a knee with a bump that feels fine ๐Ÿ™„. Was originally VERY worried about the bump (I'm such a hypochondriac!) But x-ray has been reassuring, while waiting for ultrasound.

Glad at least that running 'therapy' is possible. You be sure to enjoy your run tomorrow and stay positive about all those opportunities ahead ๐Ÿ˜Š. Xx
