Hello Lincoln 10k

In 2008 I did Race for Life and thought it would be good to train for the Lincoln 10k. Today, 11 years later, I finally did it. Chip time 1:05:50 which is 1 minute 40 seconds faster than I have ever run before. I was a bit worried that I might miss a PB because there was a nasty bottleneck on the first corner and we had to walk. The atmosphere was amazing - crowds clapping and cheering, bands playing and the weather was perfect, dry and cool. On top of that, I passed 500km since I joined Strava last June. C25K/B2 10k and all you lovely people on this forum have absolutely changed my life over the past year. Next stop Southampton and a meet up with real RBs next week. Happy running 😃😃😃😃🏃‍♀️🏅

That's a fantastic time Sandie and massive well done. 🍾🍾👍It sounds like a brilliant event, I was buzzing for days for my first event and I think I'm a fan of the 10k distance 😁

It was great. I am definitely a fan of 10k, although my friend thinks I will want the challenge of HM at some point 😬 I said definitely not - the response to which was “We’ll see”!

We’ve booked a campsite in Netley, so not far away - although I think we’ll need the heater on. Getting so excited, sad aren’t I? The top is even brighter orange with Lincoln 10k plastered over it!
