I had a lovely first run in Tenerife this morning. A relaxed 5k along the prom in Los Cristianos at about 8am. 😎 It was obviously the popular time to get out there because I was accompanied by numerous other runners and walkers, all taking advantage of the relative cool before the heat of the day hit. ☀️🏃♀️
It’s a very hilly resort and I’m determined to run a hill or two this week, promise! Today’s run was basically flat. 👍
Definitely nice being back in shorts and a vest top, and after the toxic 10 was over, I pootled along happily, definitely slow and steady! I’m in holiday mode and not out to break any records this week! (Wait, I never break records!) 🏃♀️🏃♀️
Got back for yoga on our hotel balcony with my daughters, followed by a tasty and fairly healthy breakfast - then we hit the beach and that’s where my activity for the day ended!
It felt great to get out running and I’m planning 2 or 3 more while we’re here.

Glad you enjoyed your slow and steady run today cheeky, seems that you have enjoyed it with the company of other runners and walkers. So you do yoga as well, that's wonderful, last year my daughter gave me a yoga mat and I do yoga planks along with some YouTube videos, enjoy your runs, even the hilly ones.

My older daughter introduced me to yoga last year before I began running, and I really took to it. It’s why I don’t find planks too daunting! 😀

Thanks Tinker, it’s our annual mother/daughters week in the sun. This time last year I wasn’t yet running, so it’s nice to be able to incorporate it, and the weather definitely helps! 🏃♀️👍☀️

It’s pretty amazing I have to admit Lexi! 🏃♀️🧘♀️☀️🏖 Not sure what your weather’s like, but apparently it rained a lot at home yesterday. It’s the reason we enjoy a winter break. 😀
Wet and of course windy here, my sister in law from Sydney is staying with us at the moment and is loving the cooler temperatures her daughter in Sydney said it was 38 degrees there yesterday. 🥵 a winter holiday sounds bliss, have fun and Happy running and stretching 😁

Aww thanks Lezlie, we’d thought about Fuerteventura too. Maybe next year. Last year was Lanzarote - the Canaries are awesome for a winter break aren’t they? Running here is the icing on the cake! 🏃♀️🏃♀️

Definitely fun running back in the warmth again CH! I’m hoping to go back out on Monday before we fly home. Was planning on tomorrow, but I jammed my foot walking yesterday (didn’t realise there was a kerb 🤦♀️) and it’s a little sore. I’ll give it a couple of days’ rest I think.
