For Wimborne and Ktsok here’s my new leggings. Would have loved one of those fairgound mirrors which would elongate me and make me look 6ft tall and gazelle like but in the end had to settle for the spare room mirror and the reality that I’m 5ft 2in and the only thing likely to grow is my hair which I could tie in to a gazelle like ponytail. Went to parkrun today, first time since before Christmas, knocked 3 minutes off my previous time and got a PB which was lovely.
Its only just over a week since I ran my first 10k but parkrun today made me realise how far I’ve come in a year since starting C25k in February, mentally and physically. I have more stamina, self esteem higher, anxiety lower, glutes activation still a work in progress. 😬 I’ve just completed my first virtual challenge (first bling soon) and signed up for two more.
Parkrun’s course “rises 40 metres in two sections” (their words) they’re hills, blimmin hills I can’t do em, so thats my next challenge. I’ll hate them, but I want to get better and stronger, so thats starting next week. My sis in law arrives from Sydney tomorrow for 2 weeks and in my best Edina voice (Oh God, Oh God, Oh God) I’ve had to clear out my running drawer to make room for her stuff, first world problems I know but the running goes on. Tucked up in bed before 11pm but I am waking up this time every night. Shouldn’t really be on the phone. But just check in then back to bed. Woke up to 10” of fresh snow. Beautiful- can’t wait to get out in it ❄️⛄️❄️☃️❄️⛷⛷

Aaw! Thanks Wimborne. Cue the song “All by myself” I run alone 😪 and have done since starting C25k and last time sis in law was over to stay she told me off for parking too far away from the supermarket entrance and making her walk . 🚗🚗 Whatever!
Ah Lexi. You are never alone... just think of us when you run. I must admit I think I prefer running on my own which is helpful as no one wants to come with me in my world anyway 😂. Made me laugh about you sister in law. My sister frowns at me or rather glares when I use the stairs and race her when she’s on the escalator or in a lift. She hates it. I always win 😂.
Ha, ha ha 😂 being fit has its fun moments 😂 I agree with you too I never feel alone and would never have got this far without this forum I couldn’t wait to finish my 10k the other day, just to get back and post on here. I like running on my own, no having to try and talk and run at the same time gasp, pant. Oddly, I can sing to my music although passing runners and walkers would say not!

They are lovely leggings 😍 gazelles are over rated ... I am only an inch taller than you so you can send me the leggings when you’re done with them 🤣🤣🤣 I hope your sister in law appreciates your efforts 😊😊
😁😁 I hope she does too, I’ll have to console myself with earlier, shorter runs while she’s here as her “wish list” of things to do and places to see is extensive. Running will be restful in comparison. The leggings are yours when I’ve finished 👍 🙂

You’re very kind Star about my legs. My late Mum and I always moaned about our short legs and Dad used to remind us that at least they touched the ground - there’s no arguing with that! 🙂
😂 They’re Tikiboo OF aren’t they cute. I wore Cookie Monster to parkrun and Elmo will have to wait until its a little cooler here. Perfect for your HM Yes SIL still here, she goes home On Saturday and I’m really longing for a longer run, only managing littles at the moment. 😀 xx

I love them! OF. My first parkrun I had to keep hitching up my knickers because my leggings kept sliding down taking my kecks with them. Not a good look. Happy shopping 😀😀 xx

I have a fab pair of Cheshire Cat leggings with an eye on each buttock and a toothy smile across the... lower butt. At my first (and only) Parkrun I found myself chatting to two ladies with equally outlandish leggings - it’s like a club!
