Week 6: 9K not a Fantasy after all!

Was a bit nervous about attempting 9K, but I was armed (or should that be legged) with my new "Fantasy" leggings (Sturdy by Design, for those in the know)!

Helped by the fact that it was a gorgeous sunny crisp and clear morning, with no wind. Took it steady - flagged a bit in the middle but finished more strongly and felt fantastic to have achieved it! Thanks as ever to fellow runners for encouragement and wise words. Happy running. 👍🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️😀

Thanks! I did get a few funny looks at my leggings but I guess they were just jealous!! My friend says they look like super-hero legs, so I shall try to stay in that mindset! 😂😂👍💪

I was all set to buy Mambo and then I saw Fantasy! Have the matching snug and sports bra. I can see this will become an obsession. Thanks for your congratulations - I'm so happy that I managed the 9K. Happy running. 👍🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

This gets worse, inspired by your post, I decided to organise my running gear, and put away hardly used stuff.

I only unearthed a pair of Fantasy leggings!!!!!

The poor things had burrowed their way to the bottom of the container.

Well they are not at the bottom now🤣🤣🤣🤩

I’m sharing your joy - truly. What a bonus finding them yippee! I’ll have to console myself with Elmo and Cookie Monster 😀 when they arrive. Its mesmerising watching the Royal Mail tracking updates, like Elvis they have left the building (UK) uh huh! hope they’re here for parkrun next Saturday. 😎

Am preparing their temporary home In fact they’re going to have their own room!! because I have my sister in law coming over next week from Sydney to stay for two weeks 😲 and my running gear has now taken over two big drawers which she’ll need. Just realised I have a summer and winter running wardrobe. When did that happen? 😍

Thank you so much! A year ago when I started C25K I would sneak out in my all black gear and hope no-one saw me "running". Now I have a bit more confidence. Loved wearing those bright leggings today and achieving a new distance. Hope your running is going well. 👍😀

Well I am googling colourful leggings now as they obviously are essential... and yes. Am doing ok. Am back to my hometown of Swansea this weekend so hoping to run to mumbles on Sunday. Never did I think I would ever say that 😀

Ah I have no doubt we would know him of course.... My family seem to know everyone 😂. My teenage years were spent conquering the mumbles mile.... never a pretty sight.

Hey JoJo - thank you so much! The middle part of the 9K was a bit tough but then I got the fabled second wind, which saw me through to the end. Mind you, I had dinner last night with a friend who is training for her third marathon and ran 16 miles the other day. So there is always a new target to go for! Thanks for your encouragement - it really makes a difference being cheered on by fellow runners. Happy running. 😀👍🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️❤
