Wind, rain and hills

This was no easy run, the weather was atrocious. Faced this big hill and the rain was lashing down and the wind was against me all the way. I said to myself aloud, “What am I doing this for, you stupid woman”. Did my ten miles as a determined person I am, slow but sure.

I got home and my husband told me that I must be mad and I agreed with him. But then, I looked at my watch and there it was, proof of my run, yippee!!!!! I had a lovely long hot shower and felt triumphant. It was then I said to myself aloud “This is why I do it” there is no feeling like it, it’s like that satisfied cat who got the cream, miaow and purr purr.

Happy running everyone despite the weather.

Ten miles in that weather (or any weather really) - wow!

Isn't it incredible that we run just because we can? And then Garmin confirms it for us and we can savour the glow!

Well done 🐱😁

Wow. That's gritty! I did 7.5k in the cold, wet and wind this afternoon and felt amazing afterwards. I can only imagine the effort it took to do 10 miles with hills ... and the wonderful glow that followed. Go you!

Fantastic - I still avoid the rain if I can but need to get stuck in one of these days!

Wow agelesslass, that is fantastic. I got soaked and windswept just walking to the car yesterday, so 10 miles is an incredible achievement in that weather 👏👏👏

I don't care what the weatherman says when the weatherman says it's raining!
