Knee checked on short jog

Yesterday, I decided to check my knee during short 10 min jog. I made it slow and on grass. It was toxic 10, but no knee pain :)

Today is a rest, and tomorrow I may try 2-3 (or even 4) x 10 minutes :)

Happy running!!!

Good to hear your knee is on the mend!

I hope it's good enough to go back to normal running. However, I may need to rethink my routes and limit any pavement running. It will be challenging, as the only obvious alternative is canal path which gets really muddy, slippery, and dangerous this time of the year.

This time of year is challenging for good running surfaces, and we have been so spoilt this year with such a long summer. Softer underfoot is better for your knees but if you are tense 😬 because you are afraid of slipping is just as bad and dangerous in terms of risk of injuries. Do your shoes have a good grip? I have been meaning to write a post about about winter running tips that I have gleaned from articles here in Sweden but not got around to it yet. Will try later tonight.

I wish my shoes had better grip, but with my tiny feet size, high arch, quite wide feet, I am buying whatever shoes that fits. And even though I bought only 2 types o running shoes during part 1.5 year. It is almost mission impossible for me to find shoes that are not just general trainers. One of the shoes I use have quite decent grip, but they are not trail running shoes, so it is far from good.

I did have a look today at a running shoe with spikes Icebug, they start from size 3

So they will be probably to big for me. I've tried many manufacturers, and only Karimoor has some of size 3 that are good for me. I am usually size 2, but can be as low as junior 13.

I know it is tiny ;) My 10 year old nephew has 1 size smaller or maybe (now) even the same size as me :P

Such tiny feet! I can see why you would have problems finding good shoes to run in.

Have you tried the brand Anatom?

I don't think so, but looking at the prices... I need to start saving money.

Designed for those with high arched feet. And they're a British outfit. 😸

I'll try to find them and try how they feel on my feet. Thank you for recommendation :)

I do not know the brand at all. I tried google it, but I found Anatom shoes for work only.. :-(

Hi lusmo. Anatom shoes are mostly for hiking but they do some cross-over trail running shoes.

I have checked the manufacturer, but it seems they don't do smaller than EUR 37, I am 34-35 :( but thank you for trying :)

Grrrr...

Don't worry. I'm used to it. When O go shopping I don't look which shoes I like, I go straight to the service and ask for the smallest size of any shoes. I try them and quite often they are too big. So I end up with junior / children shoes praying that they are not too small :P or they last longer than 1 seson (they don't do children ahoes to last, as children are growing fast). Usually children shoes are more universal than specialistic. This is life. I can only dream about proper shoes or pay millions for someone to make them for my feet.

I understand it. I have the same problem, small foot size, high arc, fairly wide legs. There are not many brands of shoes that I can buy.

Winter tips would be good. All the time I'm thinking how I'm going to do it in the winter.

Enjoy your rest day Iga! So pleased to hear that your knee is healing.

Happy running!🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️❤️
