10k consolidated- or did I?

After several runs plodding along with audible, today it was pounding tunes and a bit of welly for a better 10k time.

Last time I stopped off for a swim part way but today was non-stop and utterly knackering! 10k according to MMR, but then Strava said it was only 9.9k. Nooooo! Can I still have my badge ju-ju- ?

I'd give you a badge because a) you're lovely and b) you drew a nice picture of a something. But I'm a complete sucker for people who draw pictures on their technology. xx

Those apps can be so inconsistent! (Which is why I ended up getting a Garmin, which has far better GPS than a phone!) But who is going to quibble over a few metres? That’s a great run, and I would certainly say that counts as a 10k! Well done!

Did you run from Whitstable to Herne Bay? If so, funny coincidence, as I am planning to do that walk today!

Happy running, Sara. 😁👏

Hello local! I ran up to the nudist beach at Swalecliffe then down to Whit golf course. HBay is a future prospect as it seems to be HM route.

Lovely day today, enjoy your walk!

Well, not so local...I live in Beckenham, but hopped on a train to Herne Bay for my fix of the sea! We actually ended up walking from Herne Bay to Reculver, and it was beautiful! It was a rest day for me, so no running, but the walk we did would have been an amazing running route! We ended up walking 9 miles and my legs were aching like mad last night! Walking must work some different muscles, as I was aching more than after a 10km run!

Lovely bit of England you live in, you are so lucky!

The apps all seem to give slightly different distance results. I’d not worry too much about slight variations. Juju is kind, so I’m sure she’ll give you your badge! 😊❤️

Your badge looks lovely - and well earned.

Thank you fellow grad! Now just have to decide whether to switch my app allegiance to Strava or stick with MMR. Decisions decisions!

Now you have the perfect justification for upgrading the tech.....

Well done

Hah yes! After deliberating, I’m on the lookout for a nice black Fitbit Versa at an outrageously good price!

very good. I went for the garmin forerunner 235, which is fine as a watch too. The Garmin connect app is also very good. Personal choice ofc, I think they are all getting pretty good now. Happy running!
