Wow l ran 10k!! I was out to do my last 9k of week 7, but it was flat all the way and l just kept going! It wasn't easy, found it difficult to set a slower pace with it being flat (I'm use to a few hills which slow me down!), so my first 5k was a bit faster than l wanted, but l did it.
It was a lovely run along the seafront, passing 2 castles,fishermen bringing in their catch and lots of runners/dog walkers. Hubby came too and is straight back into his running, even though he's only be doing it for a couple of weeks after a 10 year break! He's fast!!I
Not sure I'll be in a hurry to repeat 10k for a while, going to consolidate and try to get stronger at 5k, also some hill training and interval work!

Sounds like a wonderful place to run. Husbands who just instantly retake up running with us after years off, then go at twice our speed, are very annoying aren’t they! I’ve got one of those too. 😂😂❤️
Well done on your first 10k!👍😀 Glad it's cooler where you are...pretty muggy first thing here in Surrey, I thought but we are definately moving towards cooler and easier runs!!🙂
Well done! It’s a great place to run isn’t it? I’m in Sandwich and the quay to the beach, across Royal St George’s and back through Princes then along the Stour to complete the loop is exactly 10km. Walked it often with the dogs and just need to train to run it now having completed C25K today
