Cliff top run

Woke up bright and early this morning and decided I’d do my cliff top run! It’s not quite 10k and I wasn’t planning on anything longer really in this heat although it’s much cooler up here in Scotland! 10 deg at 6am but felt much hotter with sun shining!

I always hope to spot a deer but today 2 lovely foxes darted across the path in from of me in the woods! That was a first!!

I took a wee bottle of water with me and was glad of it! I don’t mind carrying it too much. Just need to remember to close lid after I’ve had a sip!!

I did a lot of stopping and starting to take pics and enjoy the lovely scenery! Part of it is through a golf course (friendly one!!) There’s another one in Dunbar ( unfriendly!!!!)

The grass was so yellow and dry compared to last time I ran there apart from area being sprinkled!!! I took great delight in running through it to cool down!! ( Getting phone wet which was silly!!!)

Really enjoyed this run and as people say once you’ve done a few 10k’s it does get easier!! 😀🏃‍♀️☀️💦

It looks the perfect sort of day for a cliff run! It's made me think about giving the John Muir Way (well, a tiny bit of it) another go this Sunday 😀

I’ve just read your brilliant write up of your last run on John Muir Way!!

I’ve only done a tiny bit around here ha ha!! There were lots of steps to go up and down and narrow little ledges to negotiate but I prefer that! Makes it more interesting! 😀

What a lovely run Sarakc. That sprinkler must have been Devine. The coastal breezes certainly help but on the south coast today it is really humid and I’m sweating buckets without running. Hope Parkrun is a bit cooler tomorrow.

It was lovely! The sprinkler was like a wee oasis in the desert!!!

Wish I could do another Parkrun! I work on Saturdays unfortunately! Also our nearest one is a drive away !!

Hope it is cooler for you tomorrow! I do love this weather though! 😀

Me too. I’ve never been swimming in the sea as much as this year. It’s cooler on the beach than in the house too.

I’m ashamed to say I’ve not been in the sea except to paddle in the 4 years we’ve lived here!! It is rather chilly usually!!!! 😀

Lovely pics, lovely run, and lovely smile. You are getting very brown! Oh, and I can only dream of a pace like that, yet alone over 11k 😊🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️
