So my friends and colleagues Louis and Martin thought we should do an infamous local ParkRun which is one of the top 10 hardest in the country (I’ve just verified this on google: 510th out of 519 runs for elevation). I’ve had nightmares about it! But we did it (they’re of course much faster than me) and I actually enjoyed it! The variety that the trail offered kept my mind busy and it seemed to drag less than a usual flat 5k. Weirdly, I think I’ll go back again. Loving ParkRun tourism!

Brilliant! Glad you enjoyed the trail 👏🏼😀. They are addictive aren’t they! I went for a parkrun by the sea today which was also a pleasant change for me.

I think variety is the key, isn’t it? 👍🏽 Now wondering if I can do a local 5k trail Wednesday evening 🤔

Wow! Even worse than today’s run for me! I think this was my 19th ParkRun so about time for ParkRun tourism!

The difference is you ran it. I limped!

Excellent Tasha! So glad you enjoyed it - thinking of some Parkrun Tourism myself. Bedgebury is quite close to me and much more challenging than Hastings - I've been told to expect to add 10% to my usual time 😨

Still waiting for my time but I reckon I’m nearly 5 minutes down on my PB. Killer hills I had to walk!

I was concerned about the heat but actually it was much cooler as 80% shaded 👌🏽

Well done tash great run, how do you find out the level of difficulty of park runs please?

Thank you!

My friend told me so I googled it and found this. Not sure about the accuracy of it though?

jegmar.com/stats-hq/fastest...

Some look flatter than others but are further down the list? Are they just higher up?

Mine from today looks brutal even by profile 😂 510 Flatts Lane

I think there was some discussion some time ago on this. The data doesnt include sufface run on so won’t necessarily indicate hardest to run. I think there was also some debate on how elevation had been measured and how exact that is.

Thanks for that . Yes it’s been confirmed, sunny Southsea is 2nd easiest. So glad I live here 😃

Well done for doing one of the hardest from someone who does one of the easiest. I do like the idea of Parkrun tourism but think I need to be a bit selective👏👏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️😎☀️

He he my usual is pretty easy. But actually easy and same, same actually makes it hard in some respects.
