For the first time in quite a while, I nailed this Quest! Whoohoo! I had a whooopsydaisy incident earlier this week involving moving a deep freeze and my big toe (resulting in a lot of expletives 🀬) so I’ve taken a couple extra days rest this week but I’m still calling it a win βœ…. I am able to walk again without a limp so will be getting back out tomorrow and am happily waiting for July’s Quest. I’m already planning on what my Quest will be.....

Well done on a great month of running Allie. Congratulations on fulfilling your Quest.

Sorry to hear about your big toe though... :( Have a good run tomorrow :) xx

Didn't know whooopsydaisy was an expletive :) :)

I wish whoopsydaisy was all that came out of my mouth. The foul words spewing out of my mouth was enough to make a sailor blush, I’m sure 😳

Ouch...! Hope the toe heals soon!

Not my most successful Quest, so some hard thinking about July needed.

One success was achieving my 5km swim for the month - I'm now down to the last 20% of my virtual swim which I started 4 years ago.

Daily yoga started well but came to an early and screeching halt for reasons I really don't understand.

30DaysWild was a bit limp this year if I am honest, although I think I did 'notice nature feel joy' every day in small ways. It was a tough month with a harsh reminder of the limits on my energies and the recovery time which cannot be avoided but I think for next year more planning and building in more structure and organised things might help. However our visit to the East Yorkshire coast was a fabulous highlight (even if I did miss out on a paddle and a run on the beach)

Which leads me to the running which has been pretty dismal this month for the above reasons, and the heat a factor too perhaps (and I have to be mindful of Google as well as myself in that) I missed out on what I intended to be the 'fabulous' run of my goals: the beach run, due to the tides. However, the run I did through the meadow with head/shoulder height grasses and flowers... that was pretty glorious.

Well done GoogleMe, you always throw youself into the Quests wholeheartedly, and do your very best to complete them.

The swimming was aced, well done that takes planning.

You did some daily yoga and will come back to it.

Your 30dayswild is something I think you will continue to take forward with you, and you have made us all aware of thinking of ways to help and encourage wildlife.

Your run through the meadow was a highlight, before the heat made it too much for Google to run. I'm sure he has had some nice walks.

The July Quest is coming...😊x

I have quite detailed plans for my months, weeks, years... just things to help me achieve what I want to achieve, keep me on track. So one of those things is a monthly bath... partly to make sure that I use the lovely bath bombs I get given in a timely fashion and a good soak and body survey is no bad thing. Anyway, I found myself with time to get one in on the last day of the month and then thought "Hang on, I can do a yoga practice whilst it is running" And so I did... one goal helps another.

There is an old joke about having a bath once a month...whether I need it or not!...πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

My grandad used to say it!

GoogleMe profile image
GoogleMeGraduate10 in reply to Bluebirdrunner

Oh yes. I call it my 'King John' schedule - he was regarded as a bit dodgy for having so many baths at 12 a year.

My Dad has just called me and said that he has suddenly remembered he needs to take showers at home. He's been so used to always showering at the gym/pool!

How did my Quest go, well...to recap, my goals were:-

1. Keep up running 3 times per week βœ”

2. Add strengthening exercises 〰️

Haven't added as much as I'd planned. Sunburn put paid to the floor exercises I'd hoped to do.

3. Try a Parkrun ❌

OH got sick so haven't managed this either.

However, my running has continued to improve. I've managed:-

1. A sub-30 5K, which I thought was out of reach for a while. βœ”

2. An all-time 3rd place (women) πŸ₯‰for a local Segment on Strava that I didn't even know existed until my placement was announced on the leaderboard βœ”

3. I've run on my own, so I know I CAN pace myself and not rely on the OH. βœ”

4. Started the ju-ju- Magic πŸ”Ÿ βœ”

My OH wasn't keen but when he got laid up I could do what I liked!

5. Treated myself to some true wireless headphones 🎧 which were on sale and are just epic! βœ”

So, while I haven't completed the planned goals, I have had an amazing month, and I'll take that! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’¨πŸ’¨

Congratulations on a great month Sutsha!

Well done on all your running achievements, speed and now distance...

Sorry to hear your OH has been unwell, but having to run on your own has given you a confidence boost which is brilliant πŸ’ͺ...

You did really well!😊

Parkrun is still there....

My quest was at least three 30 minute runs a week, aiming to increase the third run towards 5k.

I’ve run three times in each of the 4 weeks. I built up the third run and got to 5k last week.

I switched to doing two 4ks (which takes me more than 30 mins) and a 5k (even longer) this week.

I’m still slower than I’d like but confident that will slowly change as I continue to lose weight and build up duration.

Really pleased with my progress and I have my quest for July worked out.

in reply to Jay66UK

Love this Jay! You're doing so well. Didn't spot you hitting the 5K, I know how much you've wanted it. Great work, teammate! 😁

Congratulations on a great month Jay! Great work, and exactly the right approach.

Well done on your 5k's and speed doesn't matter a bit, it's endurance and stamina that count.

Well done you😊xx

Sooooo, I did take part honest. Didn’t manage 5k run every time but once because I ran with my beautiful sisters and the youngest is only on week 3 and once because it is so blinking hot.

Still 3 times a week and still going so that’s the run that I want doo dut dooo doo😊

Thanks all on the quest for keeping me company in this flaming June

A successful Quest I'd say laurel..well done on running three times a week and on hitting 5k when you could!

Great running this month!😊x

Thanks Jan - a lovely certificate.

So the last few weeks have been challenging (a polite description) at work involving a ridiculous amount of meetings after school and a Yr6 residential to Wales.

So didn't run on alternate days- however did manage a 9.6k last Sunday (the last 2k with sunscreen in my eye - why oh why does it hurt so much?) and and a scenic early morning run while away in Wales with 30 chidren (proud of managing this!) Along with lots of 'cross-training' including caving, climbing and sea kayaking!

However early this morning, back home, set of for a 5k and rain my best time ever! So happy about June running after all.

Roll on July!

Good work in June everyone 😊

What an active month Deb!

Kudos to you for your brilliant running, in all the heat too!🌞

I didn't think you would manage to get a run whilst away on your school trip, you did... and it sounds like you enjoyed it!

Distance, regular runs and a speedy 5k you have definately conquered this Quest! Well done you 😊xx

All you teachers do a fabulous job and are amazing role models.😊

Get ready for the July Quest!

Not a totally successful quest BBr missed the last run of week 4, but when I looked at what I have done this month, I have managed 3 runs a week, (one run short this week only) Did a 6km, 7km and two parkruns. So I’m very happy. πŸ₯

You have done so well this month lexi, while we are all complaining about the sunshine, you have been dealing with icy cold and wet weather!

I'm glad your back niggle hasn't been a problem, and I think your Parkrun times are terrific.

You are doing Ju ju's plan I think and have run the 6k and 7k runs this month...and are moving towards that 10k! Great job!

Well done 😊xx

Thanks heaps. I think it must be awful running in that heat. I had a whatsapp txt and photo from my cousin in Blackrod yesterday, showing the hills behind her house ablaze. Scarey! Hope to join you again on ju jus plan. Back at ya 😊xx

Not sure I got all my questing goals in...but I am going to download the certificate as I did get a few really good runs in before the injuries started... I love the certificate and it will make me feel happy ! Thanks you x

BluebirdrunnerGraduate10 in reply to Oldfloss

I hope you have a great week at the coast Floss. 😊

Your HM plan was going well, speed runs and long runs too, plus swimming, cycling and walking... You definitely had a successful month before your injuries.

I know you will get back to it once given the all clear by your consultant, but for now they say patience is a virtue...

Take care 😊 xxx
