Hiya and welcome to a new week.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week,

Juju, Realfoodieclub, Oldfloss, Millsie-J and Bluebirdrunner

Hello,

Just completed a cheeky little 2.5K run to start the Ju-Ju- B210K program off.

After finally getting 2 wonderful runs in last weekend, and knowing I'm working this next weekend, I'm hoping to get an evening after work/supper run in. That combined with a run on my day off (Friday) will hopefully keep this great feeling going. And who knows, if work isn't too crazy, perhaps I can even get an early Sunday morning run I while on call. No pressure though. I must focus on no pressure runs still, although I think I will start loosely following a plan just to help give some structure to my runs.

After using the C25K+ podcasts and just trying to run further than 5k, with no real structure, just a general plan of a speed/interval run, a moderate (3-5k) and a longer run a week for the past 6 weeks, after my C25K graduation, I've realised I need more structure to make it to 10k.

So this week, I'm doing week 6 of Ju-ju's 10 is the magic number, and I hope I can make it to 10k in time for my local race the second weekend of June! The fact that we're expecting twins arriving the end of May will complicate things, but I'll carry on till the last moment and see how far it takes me, even if I can't join our local race after all...there'll always be other races to enter :)

Hello, just graduated from c25k on the weekend and did my first run since then. W10R1 seems a bit odd, did 33 minutes! Still pretty slow but getting better I think!

Started the B210K programme again after a break for a bad cold & chesty cough lasted for ages. Have entered a 10k in July, and it’s great to have a goal to aim for & plenty of time to complete the programme. Have two short holidays booked within that timeframe so also looking forward to the challenge of running in new territory.

Hello! Haven't been running as much as usual lately. I have been absolutely exhausted ever since my daughter's op - a combination, I think, of the loss of sleep at the time, the worry and just a generally agitated state emotionally for a whole host of reasons. I think I am still processing it all even now. Plus the temperatures have just shot up to around 27 degrees and this isn't helping. I know it will only get hotter as the weeks pass by but the first impact with the heat is always hard (and I never truly get used to running in hot weather). Early morning running isn't compatible with my family life.

However I've been trying to maintain a certain regularity with shorter (5k) runs on the treadmill at the gym. A far cry from what I would like to be doing but better than a poke in the eye with a frozen fish I suppose.

Just finished juju’s 10 k plan this evening . I am happy :-)

Didn’t think I would be able to do it as it is a week/ work day. My phone was close to dying so I listened to the birds. Then as I started running I noticed I forgot to put on my sports bra :-(

But it went well. Will need to look for some new running routes as I ran 7 times round my local nature reserve 😂
