Hiya and welcome to a new week.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week,

Juju, Realfoodieclub, Oldfloss, Millsie-J and Bluebirdrunner

Plan for this week, is to run a short-ish recovery run tomorrow, do intervals on Thursday and then try to top yesterday's distance PR of 7.5km, aiming for anything above 8km, ideally more than 8.5 for my long run in the weekend. Working towards reaching the 10k mark early/mid May, so I can take part in my local 10k in June.

I tried to do a c25K+ podcast and it was crazy. Way too fast for me. Maybe after a few more months of running.

Does anybody run consecutive days? I know we weren't supposed to in C25K, but this week my only opportunity to get three runs in is to do two runs on back to back days. Is this bad or okay once in a while?

I managed to pick up a horrendous bug over Easter which meant I couldn't even walk without coughing and struggling to breathe....all now seems recovered so I am going to try and have a run tonight while my youngest is at Tae Kwon Do.

I'm surrounded by hearty chest coughers at work - I must not get ill!

You do NOT want it - I managed my run but it wasn't pretty. I ended up walking and running as I just couldn't breathe properly.

Last week I strained my hamstring on the final week of Ju-ju's 10K plan, so I wasn't able to do the final 10K run, and have been resting since. It's feeling a lot better now so I plan to venture out on a few short runs before getting back on the plan again.

Actually managed to get out for 2 runs this week, a 5.5k on Friday and a 6.5k today. Woot woot! After the last few months of craziness and poor weather, it's nice to feel my legs again and get running. Yay for mental health running!!!!
