8 weeks - 10k and my hardest ever run

Well I have kept going for the 8 weeks on Ju-Ju’s programme and it’s been great to follow with some real highs and a little low. The highs were running two 10k’s before week 8 (by accident) and the low was today’s run which was awful. My legs felt heavy from 1k and I was really thinking I would never get through the run so I varied my route slightly which found me running down by the river and it was so busy with lots of other runners. I normally love my solitude when running and keep to early runs with little chance of meeting people but today the smiles, head nods and good mornings really helped me focus and so a huge thank you to the runners of Winchester who may not have known it but really got me through the 10k. I look forward to having 10k graduate next to my name and a lovely new Ju-Ju certificate on my fridge.

Happy running everyone and I hope you achieve whatever you set out to. If I can do it so can you.

Nice one! I thought it was tough today too. Hot and no breeze

Thanks. I’d overdressed and didn’t have layers (that’ll teach me) I could peel off which I think didn’t help. Oh well you learn every run. If this weather keeps up I might even break out the shorts!

Well done, congratulations! I think I saw some Ju-Ju Certificates hereabouts yesters for graduates to download. Do have a look-see. I think you get a virtual badge by your name as well.

Running is such fun, and now you've reached the magic number your runs can really open up.

Good luck in your running advenures!

Thank you. I never thought I’d be celebrating 10k when I took this up in July. I have a lovely colourful certificate winging it’s way to my printer as we speak. It’s going proudly on the fridge with my kids swimming certificates and definitely on top of any lurking bills.

Now you've got to 10 k you can gradually keep plugging away, a tiny bit at a time, and the sky's the limit it really is. If that's what you want to do. With running you can just keep going

Have fun!

Well done. I’ve really liked the structure of the programme. I think I will consolidate at this distance.

Thank you. I’m hoping to consolidate at this level for a while, especially as I’ve promised by husband no half marathons for while.
