10k in 60 minutes running app with bpm?

Finally made it. Did 60 minutes of running three times this week after following the Zenlabs 10k run free app. Did not make 10k but 8.7k so will need to look to build up some speed.

Started off two years ago as complete novice using the original Couch to 5k (Laura you are so missed) and was not a fan of running but with this app came to love it. Managed to get through to 10k without music but think that having no music slows me down.

Can anyone recommend apps that have a decent bpm to enable making 10k in 60-70 minutes?

I use MapMyRun with my own music. Create your own play list with music at the right bpm.

I got my 10k under an hour by using Audioful run free bought from iTunes. Although it’s 150 to 165 bpm you can get higher too. Silky Steve ( as I called him) gives you coaching and 10 minute marks too. I will be using this to get my 10k under the hour again ( speed has not been my focus for a long while now).

150 to 165 seems more than ok for me. Will look into it. I agree with speed comment.

Check out the podrunner app where you can run to whatever bpm you want (there’s also mixes where the bpm increases throughout the run). No coaches to guide you through it but I left the lovely Laura a long time ago to make it on my own!!!

Made 9.4k in 60 minutes today with a youtube download till I can get sorted out for my audiofuel. I don't have iTunes, stopped using it years ago. Can you download an iTunes track as an mp3? Not a techie person so forgive me.

Thanks Rammy75, I looked at podrunner. Looks good. I need to find one that is 160bpm and about 70 minutes long which is ideal for me as I like to build in about 5 minutes at the start for a warm up walk. A habit from the days of Laura.

The podrunner mixes only tend to last an hour but you could press play after a 5 minute brisk walk!!!!

Need to get myself a decent case to hold my phone first. Using one of those Lycra fabric belts that you have to squeeze your phone in.

I use a running belt, well worth the investment!!

Check out free version of Rock My Run - lots of stations to choose by activity, genre, bpm etc. I have been using this since I graduated a few months ago and really like it - saves me having to bother about creating my own playlists - and can always get something different to mix it up a bit.

Sounds great. My big problem is having earbuds falling out of my ears while running. I keep stopping to fuster with them. What do you use ? Thanks

I use bluetooth ones with a little hook thing that fits inside your ear. I struggled with normal earbuds always falling out too - have tiny ears - but these seem to stay in pretty well. They came with 4 different size bud things also. Wireless is such a game changer.

Ju Ju, does the audio fuel have a warm up track before the 60 minutes starts?

Made 10.4km in 60 minutes this morning. Used a 170bpm Rock My Run track.

Running at a high bpm was definitely was better for my knee but don't think I could keep up 170bpm on a regular basis. It was fun to try it though.

Read my running app wrong. It was 10.04km that I did in 60 minutes. Knew it was too good to by true.
