Christmas Eve Run 🏃

Omg, never in a million years, would I wake up early on the rare chance of having a lie in with my body itching to go for a run. My head told me to stay in bed and make the most of the quiet time but my body said no. Up I got and went for a 5k run, I never even stopped for breakfast so this would be a first for me. I struggled at 4K with shakes and felt sick but got my breathe back and had second wind. I felt as though my pace was quicker all the way and was gutted when my time stated the overall time was slower. On checking , apart from first km which is up a major hill , my pace times were more consistent in low 7mins per km so very happy 😃 merry Christmas to all my new running friends xxx

You got a few records today! Just got back from a shorter run to have time to myself before the onslaught of preparing the house for tomorrow!

I did a 6k run this morning after taking the mini trio to junior parkrun. Compared to the 11.5k earlier this week, that was a hard run. But I did it and got my 11 miles done this week!! It feels like I am ready for a few days of indulgence now, yippee! Happy Christmas to you.

It's a largely incurable infection called the running bug. However, running itself can help to alleviate some of the associated symptoms, providing one with a sense relief and overwhelming accomplishment. However, those symptoms usually re-occur after 24-36 hours, resulting in the need to 'scratch the itch' once again.

I know the feeling! I nipped out for a 10k (after breakfast) knowing it would be my last chance for a few days but it looks like I might get a Boxing Day run in. We are hooked!
